1901 The Virginia Hotel, Benson Arizona (Territory).  10 ½ x 8 1/4.
The sprawling Virginia Hotel in Benson was at the west end of the block, and was built by Vuchovich & Lukini in 1883. It was the only structure in the block to escape the 1883 fire. It also escaped the fires of 1886, 1904 and others until it was razed in 1936. After several owners, the Castañeda family bought it in 1889 and made it a first class hotel. President Harrison dined there in 1891. Letter to Julius Goldbaum , the Tucson Arizona Territorial pioneer who started his Liqueur business in downtown Tucson in 1887 until 1903.
 Original fold lines, small amount of discoloration along bottom center and b/r edge, o/w Fine condition.
